Located in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Highcountry Driving School is a complete driving school offering professional & personal driving courses & training.

Our professional courses and training include, ICBC Approved Class 1 MELT, Class 3, Class 4 Restricted, Class 4 Unrestricted,  Licenses along with the

(Code 15) Air Brakes course. 

​

Our personal training includes one on one driver training for new and existing Class 5 & 7 drivers.

​

We also provide various license Endorsement Training Including, (Code 15) Air Brakes Endorsement. 

(Code 7) House Trailer Endorsement. 

(Code 20) Heavy Trailer Endorsement. 

 

We provide our students with hands-on, comprehensive training with a strong focus on road safety and accident prevention.

With both in classroom and on the road training, students will gain practical knowledge and employable skills for their future.​​

Taking Your Driving Skills

to the Next Level

MELT Class 1 Manual Transmission

 

$15,950.00 + GST

​

Mandatory entry-level training (or MELT) is a training requirement for new class 1 commercial driver’s licence applicants, which aims to make BC's highways safer for everyone.

Class 3 Manual Transmission

 

$4,250.00 + GST

​

Our Class 3 program provides students with the necessary skills to drive garbage trucks, heavy duty tow trucks, and more!

Air Brakes

 

$325.00 + GST

​

Students who take the Air Brake Course will learn the benefits and safety improvements that an air brake system provides and how it functions.

Class 4 Unrestricted

Class 4 Training (4 hours) includes:

  • On- Road Training with Pre-trip inspection. 

Our 15 passenger van is also available for students to complete their Class 4 Unrestricted road test. A warm up lesson is included prior to your road test to refresh your skills.​

 CLASS 4,5&7 CANCELLATION POLICY

​

​

To cancel a scheduled driving lesson, a minimum of two (2) Business Days' notice must be provided via email at highcountrydrivingschool@outlook.com. Student's name, the lesson date, & time, must be included with your cancellation request. Cancellations made less than two (2) Business Days before the scheduled lesson will be subject to a fee equal to the full lesson cost. Refunds for cancellations submitted prior to (2) Business Days will be processed, minus a 15% administrative fee per lesson along with any applicable charges related to reduced-price packages, calculated based on the specific package and number of lessons refunded.

 

  ICBC CANCELLATION POLICY

​

​​To cancel a road test, please contact ICBC at least 72 hours in advance to avoid the $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled test may incur this fee.

​

********* HighCountry Driving School does not guarantee a passing evaluation on the ICBC road test; The examinees success and responsibility is solely dependent on their driving performance during the ICBC road test with the ICBC examiner.

​

  LATE ARRIVAL POLICY

​

Late Arrival Policy: If a student arrives more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time and no prior arrangements have been made, the instructor reserves the right to consider the lesson forfeited with the full lesson fee applicable.
